At the end of life, will you have what you wanted?
Or, will you have all the reasons why it did not happen.
Imagine driving down the road, seeing the beautiful blue sky above. You are heading
for an important meeting. “Bang,” you run over a pothole and the tire blows out.
Now, will you kick the tire, stub your toe, and complain about the poor roads?
Or, will you take out your tools, change the tire, and get to your destination
five minutes late, hands dirty, but mission accomplished?
The difference between the two stories is whether you are honoring your higher intentions.
Intentions are like winding roads that take you from the beginning of life to
the end. You may have intentions such as creating a loving family, engaging in
meaningful work, and being all you can be. Along the road you will experience
obstacles. Life happens. Events may not go as planned. You will need to find
alternative routes.
What is important, is not the size of the obstacles, . . .
